Conventional Mortgage Options

With solutions for many types of transactions, conventional loans offer the flexibility to customize your mortgage so that it works best for your situation. Is keeping your monthly mortgage payment low a high priority? A 30 year fixed rate loan might be a good choice, as spreading the repayment over a longer period of time keeps monthly payments down.

Only planning to own the home for a few years? An Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM) has a low introductory interest rate for a period of time, after which it will adjust based on current market conditions and the terms of the loan. This can be another good option for low monthly payments in the short term.

Shorter term fixed rate mortgages such as a 15 year fixed rate or 10 year fixed rate loan are smart to consider when looking to minimize the interest paid. Rates tend to be lower when compared to loans with longer terms, and by repaying the loan sooner you save on many years of interest payments.
